After the great success with our first “Meet to Compete” competition law and policy conference from May 2024, we now return to beautiful Opatija to bring you the sequel, conveniently titled:
“Meet to Compete – Repeat”
to be held at the Hotel Ambasador in Opatija between 14 – 15 May 2026.
As the global regulatory, technological, and geopolitical environments continue to shift, EU competition law stands at a critical crossroads – facing new challenges, but also new opportunities to shape fair, open, and competitive markets. In this era marked by increased global economic rivalry, technological disruption and growing calls for strategic autonomy, the role of EU competition law appears to be more crucial than ever.
This is why we will meet again to explore the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of EU competition law.
This is why we will compete to bring you the hottest topics discussed by the leading enforcers, scholars, policymakers, practitioners and inhouse counsels to reflect on how competition law can remain robust, relevant, and responsive to market developments in the immensely evolving digital era.
This is why we will repeat our popular model of competition law workshops held by reputable practitioners in Croatian, aimed at helping owners, managers and corporate lawyers understand and avoid anti-competitive practices, thereby increasing overall competition law awareness and compliance. In this department, we will raise the bar another notch with the new “Learning by Working” model, where we will put different practitioners head-to-head to battle out different realistic scenarios from the perspective of the client and the competition authority.
We will also repeat that rare and unmatched tradition of networking within the competition law community, creating a gathering of minds and spirits sharpened by practice and polished by camaraderie. In the essence of a true legal professional, we will learn with vigour, think with precision, and, above all, enjoy ourselves. It is not a secret that the best conversations often begin when the final slide fades and the glasses begin to clink.
