Mónika Nacsa

Group Compliance and Ethics Officer, Group Legal and Compliance, MOL Group

Mónika is an experienced legal and compliance professional with a strong background in regulatory compliance, competition law, and corporate governance. Since 2020 she has served as Group Compliance Officer at MOL Group, overseeing a multinational team across Budapest, Bratislava, and Zagreb. In this role, she coordinates investigations and trainings in high-risk compliance areas—including sanctions, competition law, data protection, consumer protection, and anti-money laundering—and provides strategic risk analysis to business units within a complex, vertically integrated energy company. She is currently also the Chief Business Compliance Officer of INA d.d. in Zagreb on a fixed-term assignment. Earlier in her career, Mónika gained extensive litigation and regulatory experience. She served as an attorney at Kinstellar and spent six years at the Hungarian Competition Authority, where she held positions in both the International and Litigation Sections and later became Head of the Litigation Section. Before that, she trained at a Budapest law firm, building a solid foundation in legal analysis, case handling, and administrative procedures. Mónika’s academic background includes law studies at the University of Szeged, postgraduate PhD research, a French legal program certificate, and an ERASMUS year at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has completed several international specialized programs—such as the ACAMS Certified Global Sanctions Specialist certification and multiple European competition law courses—and is admitted to the Budapest Bar. She is also an active author, having published extensively on competition law, legal history, and constitutional law in recognized legal journals and conference volumes.
